Lucido for Growl by OrionTwentyone Lucido for Growl by OrionTwentyone
Lucido is a animated, reflective interface for Growl, the best notification solution on the Mac.

Not only does Lucido look great, but the entire interface is built using CSS3. Even cooler though, the notification actually pops in to the desktop using CSS3 Transitions.

Hope you enjoy it. Mini version is available here. [link]

VERSION 1.0 BUG FIX

Fixed a bug which named the bundle as "Simple", the pre-release name.
Fixed an issue which stopped the entire growl notification from animating on start

VERSION 1.02 UPDATE

I'm using this in Lion and for some reason it's getting cut off on the right. It was fine in Snow Leopard. Any ideas?

it doesn't seem like the theme full respects Growl's "opacity" option. Even when I set opacity to 100%, there is still some transparency in the notifications. Additionally, when I set the opacity quite low (say, 20%), notifications transition in to their (pre-configured / hard-coded?) level, and then quickly jump back to my configured opacity. Not sure how difficult either of these would be to correct, but otherwise this looks great!

OK, the CSS Transition does not utilise the Growl's manual transparency option. I'm going to see if I can work round this.

Nice theme, Do you have the background that's used in the popups as a PNG image?

I'd like to try and adapt this theme to work on Growl for Windows

Yep, that's used currently to create noise to the popup, as CSS3 can't do that.

I'll get it for you as soon as I'm near my design computer. I'm on my iPad right now :)

Can you please tell me what solution you use for connecting Growl with Google reader?

Just wondering, what version of Mac OS X are you using?

Nevermind my previous comment; apparently Lucido shows up in the Growl style list with the name “Simple”. Not sure why that happens, but it’s worth correcting.

Great.

Also, I notice that using the style activates the discrete graphics on my MBP. None of my other Growl styles do that. Not sure what’s going on there.

For some reason, I can’t get Lucido to appear in my list of installed Growl styles. It’s there in the Plugins folder, but not in the prefpane’s list of installed styles.
